First Green Ramayana Park develops by Uttarakhand govt.



According to Sanjiv Chaturvedi , Uttarakhand's Chief Conservator of Forests, Ramayana Park took six months to develop in the Haldwani region, Ramayana Park is a first-of-its-kind thematic project that touches small-exploration aspects of the Ramayana, especially in terms of flora. It is associated with Lord Ram's journey in and among the four main forest types of India.

His scientific name and the exact number of 'shlokas' in which the plant species are mentioned are also mentioned.


Uttarakhand known as the “Devabhumi”.  Uttarakhand state divided in two divisions, Garhwal & Kumaon, with a total of 13 districts. Winter & Summer two capital in Uttarakhand. The winter capital of Uttarakhand is Dehradhun, the largest city of the state, which is a rail head. Gairsain, a town in Chamoli district is the summer capital of Uttarakhand.


Significance of Green Ramayana Park-

During Lord Rama’s journey from Ayodhya to Sri Lanka he came across four types forests in the Indian subcontinent including Chitrakoot (tropical deciduous), Dandakarnanya (tropical deciduous), Panchavati (torpical dry deciduous) and Kishkindha (dry and moist deciduous), Ashok Vatika (evergreen) is associated with Sita while Dronagiri (alpine forest) is associated with Lord Hanuman.
